About us
CARMA is a vibrant, multicultural organisation established in March 2002 to empower cultural diversity, unity, and awareness in Queensland, hosting more than 50 various cultural groups in Far North Queensland.
CARMA welcomes everyone to connect and share the uniqueness of their cultures through a respectable channel.

CARMA supports communities and cultural groups such as Aboriginal & Indigenous of Australia, Bhutan, Brazil Canada, Fiji, Chile, Mauritius, Africa, Iran, Jordan, Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, India New Zealand, Nepal, Serbia, Greek, and many more amazing cultures whilst maintaining their cultural heritage values and practices e.g. celebrating various nations’ Independence Day.
We care about youth empowerment! We want to uplift our next generation through cultural preservation and developing leadership skills such as public speaking
Core Values
Inclusiveness, Acceptance, Respect, Social Connection, Integrity, Strength.
How we do it
CARMA meets monthly to coordinate its various efforts. We help multicultural organisations in the region with advice, our managerial expertise and bring these associations together at our various events during the year.
Regular events include the International Women’s Day Lunch, Youth Festival, Cairns Multicultural Festival, and fundraising Gala dinner.
We unite families, children, and individuals to enjoy and learn from each other’s cultures and cultural groups.
CARMA actively promotes unity in diversity, social connection, social cohesion, acceptance, inclusiveness and understanding of cultural diversity in the region and its benefits through events, meetings and teamwork among the communities.
