Kesa was the founder of the CARMA Tropical Wave program together in partnership with Cairns FM Community Radio 89.1.
I’m just someone who deeply cares about our community here in Cairns Division 2. In 2022 I was fortunate enough to receive the Woman of the Year award from the Cairns Regional Council, which I see as a reflection of the collective efforts of everyone who has supported and worked alongside me. My belief that the strength and richness of our community come from the collective contributions of each person is what drove me to put my hat in the ring for Division 2 Councillor. My primary goal has always been to serve and support the people around me.
As a Fijian native who has traveled the world with my husband Markus, I bring a unique global perspective to the table. My experiences in tourism, hospitality, and community building have equipped me with a diverse skill set that’s well-suited to address the varied needs of our vibrant and multicultural community.
Community lies at the heart of my mission. As the Founding Member of the Fijian Community Association and an advocate for an inclusive community and multicultural hub in White Rock, I am deeply connected to the people and their needs. I’m not just a candidate; I’m a genuine community builder, ready to work hand in hand with everyone to elevate Division 2 even further.
My candidacy for Division 2 is not just about promises; it’s about real action. My long-standing involvement in community groups, ongoing discussions, and deep commitment to service make me a strong candidate, eager to address the diverse needs of our community.
